The second annual American Country Awards will be held tonight on FOX.  Show is set to air from 8pm to 10pm in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  Zac Brown Band and Jason Aldean lead the American Country Award nominees with a total of eight each.  Thompson Square has seven and The Band Perry as well as Taylor Swifteach have six.

And joining the long list of performances for tonight’s show will be Chris Young.  Chris has been added as a performed tonight.  He is set to sing “Voices” which is nominated for Single of the Year.  He is also up for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Male Single of the Year, also for “Voices.”

Lauren Alaina is joining Jason Aldean on the road in 2012.  Lauren will be opening for Jason’s “My Kinda Party” tour that kicks off officially in January.  The tour will also feature Luke Bryan

And speaking of American Idol contestants, Kellie Pickler will be on “A Michael Buble NBC Christmas Special” tomorrow.  The special was taped Friday, November 4th in Brooklyn and will air on NBC, tomorrow beginning at 8pm.  The special is meant to help promote Buble’s most recent album of holiday standards, which features a duet with Shania Twain.

Big news for Warner Music Nashville and Jimmy Fallon.  They have teamed up to release an album.  That’s right, Jimmy Fallon and Country music are uniting.  Since Jimmy’s song with John Rich, “Drunk on Christmas” received so much attention, Warner has added Fallon to their roster.  His album is due out in the summer of 2012 and will feature most of his most famous musical moments on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
