Abused Puppies Nailed to Railroad Tracks in Albany
This has to be one of the most cruel stories we're ever seen - and just leaves us at a loss for words. Three puppies, less than a month old, were found nailed to the railroad tracks in Albany. The three puppies are a pit bull mix and were found on Saturday between North Pearl and Broadway.
[UPDATE] We learned this afternoon that one of the puppies, the smallest one, passed away as a result of her injuries. She seemed to be improving when her heart suddenly stopped.According to WTEN, staff tried to give her CPR but were unable to resuscitate her. So sad.
A railroad employee found the dogs and turned them over to the amazing folks at the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society. One puppy may even lose it's leg.
If you have information about who did this horrible thing to these puppies, please contact the MHRHS at (518) 434-8128
