Earlier this week, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was connected to a homicide investigation, one that police said he was not a suspect in. However, after not ruling him out, reports are that his arrest is imminent in this murder investigation.

Earlier, it was reported that Hernandez was with the victim the night of the homicide which, of course, doesn't look good to law enforcement officials in any case. Now, a news helicopter is following Hernandez around as he drives around the Boston area. There is no police chase going on right now, but the news footage has still been captivating to watch this morning, even if they are just following him around as he gets gas.

This type of situation has been so unlike anything that has happened within the Patriots' franchise during the Bill Belichick era, as "The Patriot Way" is normally a quiet, out of the spotlight type of existence.

We will update this post as the story develops.

UPDATE 1:18 P.M.: Hernandez has stopped driving and appears to be paying a visit to his lawyers near the Prudential Center.

2:17 P.M.: ABC News is reporting that Hernandez may have destroyed his cell phone and home security system. More info here.

3:03 P.M.: ABC is also reporting that Hernandez had his house professionally cleaned on Monday. That doesn't seem suspicious at all.

9:29 A.M.: A warrant for Hernandez' arrest has been issued for obstruction of justice. UH OH.
