A Woman Allegedly Slept And Drank Beer At Local Walmart

A 52-year-old Castleton woman allegedly tried to make herself a little too much at home at the Hoosick Street Walmart in Troy. In a story from CBS 6 Albany, some of the store employees saw Elizabeth McGovern allegedly drinking beer in the store, and was then told to leave. This happened around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Later that night, McGovern was back at the store. This time some employees found her allegedly sleeping in some sort of shipping container, in an area designated for employees only. This time there were a few empty beer cans around her. One more time, she was asked to leave the store.

On Friday morning, McGovern was found in the store, again. She was in the store bathroom and was found allegedly drinking another beer that she is accused of stealing from the store. This time, the New York State Police were called. She was arrested. After her arraignment she was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
