This summer at The Great Escape, people will feel like they are in fighter jets while they are on a roller coaster.

The Steamin' Demon at Great Escape in Lake George will be one of the first coasters in the Northeast to have this new technology. On the New Revolution virtual reality experience, once riders put on the virtual reality headset, they will become fighter jets fighting an alien invasion. This seems like a more stunning visual than just metal bars and an amusement park parking lot.

Interestingly, the New Revolution is a partnership with Samsung, using the Samsung Gear VR headset. While the riders are on the coaster they will climb straight up nearly 95 feet to the top of a towering skyscraper with speeds of 40 miles per hour, while fighting aliens. This could be a step up from other simulated rides featured at other amusement parks across the country.

The Steamin' Demon is one of the most popular coasters at The Great Escape. It is considered one of the first steel looping coasters.

Here is a video of what the virtual reality experience will look like.

Do you think the New Revolution will be a hit? Or do you think this is too much technology?
