A Scotia Man Allegedly Was Driving About 100 Miles Per Hour – Drunk
New York State Troopers got more than someone speeding through Rotterdam on Friday night, August 9, 2013.
The man was also allegedly drunk. In a story that I read in The Times Union, Brian S. Goyette from Scotia, was driving on Interstate 890 at speeds close to 100 miles per hour. It was also discovered that Goyette was driving drunk.
Goyette's driving record includes a couple of previous DWI convictions. This incident got him a felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and also reckless driving for allegedly being drunk while he was driving. According to police, he also refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Goyette was sent to the Schenectady County Jail after he was arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court.
