According to a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, the driver, Paul A. DiDonna of Rensselaer, was sitting behind the wheel when he was spotted by a couple of East Greenbush Police officers.

One of the officers started asking DiDonna about what happened, and he was unable or unwilling to tell him. The officers determined that DiDonna allegedly left the scene of an accident. DiDonna was unable to perform standard sobriety tests. One of the tests registered that he had a blood-alcohol content of .31%. That's more than three times the legal limit, which is .08%.

DiDonna faces a slew of charges including Felony DWI, Aggravated DWI, Unlicensed Operator, No Insurance, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and others. He is charged with felony charges because he had previously been convicted of DWI in Albany County.

DiDonna was taken to East Greenbush Town Justice Kevin Engel and sent to Rennselaer County jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. He is scheduled for another court appearance on April 5.

I just hope this guy didn’t hurt anyone or do any damage someone else’s property. He claims he didn’t even know what happened to his car. That’s extremely scary.
