A New Kind Of Stewart’s Shop Is Coming

Stewart’s Shops have stores all over the Albany area and beyond, and now there’s a new kind of Stewart’s Shop in the works.

It’s called a “super Stewart’s”, and there’s one that’s going to be built in Perth, just outside of Amsterdam. According to a story from The Leader Herald, the super Stewart’s Shop was approved on Tuesday by the Fulton County Planning Board.

The plans are to replace the current Stewart’s building on Route 30 at the intersection of County Highway 107, and former NBT Bank building next door, and build a bigger Stewart’s building in place of both buildings. The super Stewart’s convenience store will have 3,624 Square Feet, eight gas pumps and 23 parking spaces. The current Stewart’s has two gas pumps, 10 parking spaces and 2,000 square feet.

Stewart’s purchase the bank property so they could build the new super Stewart’s Shoppe. I wonder if this will be the start of Stewart’s Shops building more of the super Stewart’s throughout the area.
