A New Home For Burgers In The Albany Area – Smashburger

There’s a new burger in town.

Smashburger is a new business that is now open on Wolf Road in Colonie. It’s in the former Friendly’s restaurant building next to Firestone and Trader Joe’s.

It seems that in recent years, the Albany area has been getting quite a few new places that you can go for a burger. Places like Red Robin, Five Guys, Juicy Burgers and now Smashburgers have set up shop in the capital region.

According to their website, Smashburgers restaurants have locations all over America and a few in Canada and other parts of the world. In the story that I saw on CBS 6 Albany, Smashburger’s is based out of Denver, Colorado and Colonie is the franchises 281st restaurant.
