Thomas Rhett Akins was born in March of 1990.

At age 6 his father, Rhett, was enjoying success high atop country music charts everywhere with his hit song "That Ain't My Truck."

In 2011 at the age of 21 going by the name Thomas Rhett, Thomas Rhett Akins was signed to his first major recording deal with Valory Music Nashville. By 2013 he had his first Number One song "It Goes Like This."

While Thomas Rhett is enjoying chart and on-stage success in the country music world; his dad Rhett continues to play a major role in creating big hit country songs as he's written over 18 Number One songs by some of today's biggest country music stars including Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
