A Couple of GREAT Albany Area Cellphone Apps

There are like 500,000 iPhone apps and counting!  Some of them actually refer to businesses right in our area.  I have to mention 2 of them here, in case you are a APPaholic.   

The first one is RadioPup.  It's nothing short of awesome, and I would say that even if I didn't work here.  Here's a quick and dirty explanation of what it does in case you haven't downloaded it by now!:

RadioPup is a personalized radio app designed for the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices featuring 150+ local radio stations streaming the best music and news available. It covers many genres....Favorite the songs or stations that you like best and share them with friends via Facebook, Twitter, SMS or email.

It seems to work flawlessly.  I was cleaning the garage the other day and had WGNA on (of course).

The second one came as a real surprise to me, but it is SLICK.  The top reason I wanted an iPad was so I could read the news on it when I got up in the ungodly hours of the morning and not have to run out in my underwear and get the paper.  But I wanted LOCAL news.

Well, finally, the TU has an iPad app that is phenomenal.  It's beautifully done, it's FREE if you have a subscription already, and it's so easy to navigate.  I have to hand it to them, it's very well done (and the paper doesn't come in a soggy plastic bag anymore-awesome!)

And of course you all must know about the best one of all-it's the one that saves you money on a daily basis.  It's our Seize The Deal app.  You get some fantastic buys  and they are delivered right to your smart phone by 6am!
