These kids broke the cute meter. First graders from St Thomas The Apostle School created a brand new theme song for our Blue Friday fundraiser on April 24th to help the families of fallen police officers. Wanna hear it? I knew you would!
I had a blast with this, as always. Take two Capital Region schools. Add some very creative elementary school teachers and students. Put them together and what have you got? A collaborative song to welcome spring!
It goes without saying that I just LOVE a good parody song. This is a great example. Let's take Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind Of Nite" and change it to "That's My Kind Of School". Brilliant! And it was all their idea!
This was a very special edition of "Reading, Writing and Rhyming". Kids from Pieter B Coeymans Elementary created a parody of "Friends In Low Places", by Garth Brooks. Guess who got to hear the song? The "G-Man" himself!
I had a blast with the kids from Craig "We Can" School in Niskayuna. Mrs. Ladopoulos was kind enough to have me in on extremely short notice. Here's evidence that you can never be too young to write a clever song parody! This one's for Thanksgiving!
