9th Annual Blue Friday Is March 8th

It's hard to believe that this is 9th year for 1077 'GNA and Blue Friday. Blue Friday on March 8th with 1077 'GNA will actually be declared a New York State Holiday to recognize all law enforcement professionals in New York State. The day is set up to raise money for Blue Friday of New York which helps the families of officers lost in the line of duty with their financial needs. Money raised does small things that mean a lot like paying utility and heating bills, to buying groceries and aiding with the college tuition of children in the family of a lost officer. March 8th from 6-10am the Sean and Richie Show will be broadcasting live and we need you to stop and see them on your way to work to give to Blue Friday. You can buy a blue carnation provided by Frank Gallo and Son Florist, or buy some official Blue Friday clothing items that are top quality to show your pride. You can actually pre-order merchandise on the Blue Friday of New York website here if you would like. Right now as a matter of fact you can donate to Blue Friday at any Hannaford Supermarket in the WGNA listening area. All money goes to Blue Friday. This year one of the hot items to help Blue Friday is their limited edition green St. Patty's themed t-shirt. They are also taking orders for these on the web link above , and they will be available while they last at our 2 broadcast locations on Friday, March 8th from 6-10am with The Sean and Richie Show and 1077 'GNA.

On Friday, March 8th please stop at the Hannaford Supermarket location at Wolf Road and Sand Creek Road from 6-10am for Sean and Richie's morning show broadcast and give! Jeff Levack will be live as well at Uno Chicago Grill off Exit 15 in Saratoga Springs where you can also stop between 6 and 10am on Friday, March 8th and get a blue carnation, make a donation to Blue Friday and buy their special edition clothing items as well.

Tonight literally kicks of the 9th Annual Blue Friday Campaign with our kickoff happy hour at Hooters on Wolf Road from 5:30pm-9pm with Jeff Levack. Make sure to stop in and drink Bud Light draft. Saratoga Eagle has donated a few kegs and money from all Bud Light Draft sold tonight will go to Blue Friday!

If you are busy the morning of Friday March 8th from 6-10am and can't join the Sean and Richie to give to Blue Friday you can still help. That Friday night we will have a huge Blue Friday Happy Hour Party at The Parting Glass In Saratoga (recognized as the 3rd best Irish Pub in the world). The Friday night Blue Friday Party will run from 7pm til whenever. We'll have awesome live authentic Irish music from Kevin McKrell and The McKrells, and all Bud Light Draft sales will benefit the 9th Annual Blue Friday as well. You will also be able to buy blue carnations and Blue Friday special edition clothing items at this event as well with 1077 'GNA and Blue Friday of New York.
