8 Year Old Boy Pays Tribute To A Soldier And The Story Touches Millions

This morning on "The Good News" , a feature we do every weekday morning at 8:10 am on the "Sean and Richie Show",we talked about an 8 year old boy who touched a soldier with his generosity. The boy is Myles Eckert and he lives in Toledo, Ohio. Last month Myles hit the jackpot by finding a $20 bill in the parking lot on his way into the local Cracker Barrel with his family. When you are 8, getting a hold of 20 bucks can really get your head spinning with ways to spend it on yourself but what Myles did with the money was priceless.

After getting inside the restaurant, Myles noticed a soldier eating and decided to give his $20 to him and before he did he wrote a note to put it in and this is what he wrote:

"My dad was a soldier. He's in heaven now. I found this 20 dollars in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It's your lucky day! Thank you for your service."

The soldier, Frank Dailey was so touched he kept the note and says he reads it everyday for inspiration, he donated the money to charity and says he will continue to do so and hopes it inspires others to do the same.

The real touching part of the story is that Myiles' Dad died serving in Iraq when Myles was just 5 weeks old, and when he finished lunch he asked his Mom to bring him to his father's grave so he could tell him about it.
