61st Annual “Fill The Boot” Fundraiser Tomorrow in Rensselaer

Firefighters from the City of Rensselaer will be out tomorrow for their annual Fill the Boot fundraiser!

This year marks the 61st year of the partnership between the City of Rensselaer Professional Fire Fighters Association Local #2643 and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. All the proceeds donated tomorrow during the boot drive will benefit children and adults affected by muscle disease throughout Rensselaer County.

Motorists please be cautious traveling throughout Rensselaer County tomorrow and have your donations ready! Firefighters will be ready with their boot in hand to collect your donations tomorrow from 7am – 6:30pm!

Locations include: the intersections of Washington Ave and Iowa Ave, Washington Ave and Forbes Ave, Broadway at Herrick Street (the Herrick Street Bridge) and on Columbia Turnpike in the late afternoon.

The donations from last years Fill the Boot Drive reached $9,000. Rensselaer Firefighters are looking to surpass that number this year.
