5 Capital Region High Schools Among Top 500 in US

I like to pride myself on the fact that I'm from the Capital Region.

We are lucky to have such an amazing community to grow up in and be a part of. I feel even more privileged to be a part of an area that has such high standards for ourselves, which shows in the quality of our businesses as well as our school systems. 

Newsweek has released its annual list of the Top 500 High Schools in the United States and not only has my alma mater made the list, but so has four more of our Capital Region schools.

The highest on the list is Shenendehowa High School at #246. Being smack dab in the middle of the list might not seem like that great of an accomplishment but when I tell you they've moved up 60 slots from last year - they've definitely made a lot of improvements over the year! Plus, lets be serious. There are plenty of schools that didn't make the list, so this achievement is a great one!

Niskayuna High School (#270), Shaker High School (#328), Saratoga Springs High School (#363) and Ballston Spa High School (#379) also made the list.
