ACA Means Another Award Show

As I was looking over the news, I see there are plans for ANOTHER country music awards show.

They’ll be called the ACAs (for American Country Awards) I know I’m not the only person who has this 3 letter question – Why? We have the CMAs and the ACMs. Don’t forget about the CMT Awards. There’s also a category or two for the Grammy awards and the People’s Choice Awards. How many more awards show can we watch? It’s great to see our favorites get nominated and maybe even win, but ANOTHER awards show? The only thing that I can think of is XFL. You remember (or maybe you don’t), that football league that was formed by Vince McMahon from the WWF, oh I mean WWE, that was supposed to be played in the off season of NFL football. After all, after doing my research, I saw it lasted only 1 season. Guess the true football fans didn’t really like the XFL.

Getting back to the awards ideas, Besides country music awards, we have the Tonys, the Oscars and the Academy awards. Oh wait, the Oscars and Academy awards are the same thing. Look mom, TWO names for one award. Don’t forget the Emmy awards. This one’s for television. Oh wait – They have TWO awards - The Primetime Emmys and the Daytime Emmys. Here’s a thought, give the ACMs, CMAs or CMT awards a second name, as opposed to another award. We could call it “the Nashys”, After all, our music is FROM Nashville.

Now with the thought of ANOTHER awards show, we’ll need more of the “I’d like to thank my mom and dad, and God” speeches, complete with a list of about a thousands other people to thank for their support in winning the award. I just think that we have enough awards shows, now. (I don’t think I’m the only one)

My apologies to anyone who is offended if I forgot to mention other awards, God knows there are TONS of others. The ACAs would just be one more to try to keep track of.
