Well it looks like the weather this weekend is going to be a bit touch and go so you may be looking for something fun to do with the kids. So what can you do if you can't count on it to be dry or warm outside? If you are like me you would prefer that these things be inside, affordable and at least a little educational, I  found a few different places that have something a little special going on that just may fit the bill.

1. The Challenger Adventure at miSci.  My wife loves this museum and Caden had a blast the last time he went there.

From their site:

"CHALLENGER ADVENTURES (Ages 3-Adult)
Every Saturday, 2-3pm & 3:30-4:30pm at miSci (museum of innovation and science)

Join other museum visitors in this out-of-this-world experience! See what it's like to do experiments in space and take home a souvenir from your experience."

2. Baby Animal Days at Indian Ladder Farms. I have not been to this yet but what kid can resist a barnful of baby animals?

From their site:

"Baby Animal Days: May 7 – 22, 2016  (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) Admission: $6 per child (No charge for an adult accompanying a child.)

Come meet our babies in the Baby Animal Barn – chicks, ducklings, turkey poults, bunnies, lambs, kids of the goat variety, calves – see, pet, and learn about baby farm animals!

3. Family Flashlight Tour at Howe Caverns. Who doesn't love a cave? This event looks super cool but you do need to be at least 5 years old and you do need to make reservations.

From their site:

"A special version of our Lantern Tour geared toward the whole family. Everyone can navigate the great cave as our discoverer Lester Howe did...in the dark! It's exciting, it's educational and most of all it's a great adventure, in a living limestone cave carved by an underground river over the course of millions of years!"
