2 Commercial Break-ins In Rennselaer County

The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department would like residents to be a little more alert after two commercial buildings were broken into.

In the story from News 10 ABC, the first break in happened around 7:45 p.m. on February 17, when a burglar alarm went off. That was at the Poestenkill Town Hall. When deputies got there, they saw how someone broke into the building, and found that nothing was missing.

The second burglary that was reported a little later that evening was at a beauty parlor, called the Sand Lake Clipper, in the Town Of Sand Lake. Whoever broke into this building also stole a money bag and a cash register.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help, and to call the Sheriff’s Tip Line with any information about the break-ins. That phone number is 518-266-1981.
